I am going to share with you some new things that added a new dimension on war thunder in April 2019.
Book of Records: Aircraft / War Thunder
The fastest tanks, the heaviest shells, the longest barrels. In short, all the exciting record-breaking stuff. It’s only fair to make a Book of Records for aircraft, don’t you think?
I-180S: Sky Acrobat
The I-180 is an experimental per-war further development of the renowned I-16 fighter, intended to offer much-improved performance over its predecessor. The I-180S, a production version of the aircraft built only in limited numbers, will await War Thunder players as one of the prizes obtainable in the upcoming ”Battlefield Engineer” event!
More powerful compared to the I-16 radial engine allows the aircraft to develop quite a decent speed for its rank: the I-180S is able to reach a very impressive top speed of 585 km/h at medium altitudes.
Apart from great flight characteristics, the I-180S won’t disappoint its future owners in terms of firepower either, as it's armed with a pair of both 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns - such weaponry can literally tear through aircraft in low ranked battles. The premium status of this vehicle will provide its owners with pleasant bonuses.
Merkava Mk.1: Chariot of Fire
The Merkava Mk.1 is the first MBT developed and built by Israel for use by its own armed forces. You will be able to get this long-awaited famous MBT as one of the main prizes for the American tech tree in the upcoming ”Battlefield Engineer” event!
Junkers Ju 388 J: The High-Altitude Marauder
The Junkers Ju 388J is a German late-war high altitude bomber hunter, designed in response to the threat posed by the new American B-29 Superfortress bomber. War Thunder players will have the chance to obtain this aircraft as part of the upcoming ”Battlefield Engineer” event!
The big submarine chasers of Project 122bis: bombs away!
The big submarine chasers of Project 122bis are an upgraded version of the submarine chasers of Project 122. In addition to enhanced anti-air weapons, the ship has received a bomb rocket launcher for destroying submarines.

The VFW was an experimental German heavy SPAAG, developed and tested in the latter stages of WW2. Although the project was eventually abandoned, War Thunder players will have the chance to obtain this unforgiving tier III German heavy-hitter as part of the upcoming ”Battlefield Engineer” event!

Restore the rare fighter - the I-180S and trade it for the VFW SPG, Pr.122bis submarine chaser, the Ju 388 J interceptor, the Merkava Mk.1 MBT or the light cruiser HMS Tiger.
